Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa representing Agege 1 Constituency, Lagos State, has been re-elected as the Speaker of the 10th Assembly of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Obasa was nominated by Temitope Adewale representing Ifako-Ijaiye 1 State Constituency, shortly after Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, proclaimed the Assembly on Tuesday morning.

Obasa was elected as member of the House of Assembly for the sixth time in the last general election.

He contested on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Obasa recorded 17, 214 votes to defeat his closest rival, Raheem Alani of Labour Party (LP) who polled 3,933 votes.
